Crashing Firefox For Breakpad
Our group is trying to find ways to crash Firefox so we can gather some information so we can test our scripts.
1) We're asking if you can download this modified version of Firefox with Breakpad installed, firefox+breakpad
2) To enable Breakpad crashreporting create a new Environmental variable called MOZ_AIRBAG and set it to 1.
3) Crash firefox, if you can't find out how you can see the examples below however we would really appreciate new crashes.
4) The modified firefox with breakpad points to our database. If you want to check your crash report, check crashreports.
5) Then post to this page your name and email address, and how you managed to crash Firefox (the steps, so we can re-create it!).
If you don't want to download the modified version, we still would like you to post your name and email address, the version of Firefox you're using (found under Help -> About Mozilla Firefox, the contents listed in the last paragraph), and how you managed to crash Firefox(the steps, so we can re create it!).
All crash details we can get would be great! If we have any questions about your crash, we'll email you, Thanks for your help!
Please add your crash details under the appropreate heading below:
