Level Up: An OpenWeb Game Jam
From Open Source@Seneca
Level Up is a Toronto Open Source Week (TOSW) event that will introduce game developers to tools that can be used to develop games for the OpenWeb.
With the implementation of HTML5 and WebGL in many of today's modern browsers, closed platforms such as Flash and Silverlight are no longer the only mechanism for delivery of rich graphical, multimedia data. This event will include tutorials in the morning followed by an afternoon hack session where developers can develop their own games. Speakers from the morning will be available to answer questions and provide guidance during the hack session. An unofficial spillover day on Thursday is available for developers wishing to continue working on their games. Games made during this event will have the opportunity to be shown at a session at FSOSS 2010
